Tile and finish identification
We assess whether the area is ceramic, porcelain, stone, textured, polished, coated or previously sealed before selecting treatment.
Professional cleaning for suitable tiled floors, walls and grout, with treatment selected around the tile, finish, residue and condition of the installation.

Local specialist care
Based in Mildura and serving homes and businesses across Sunraysia and surrounding districts.
Grout is often more porous than the tile around it, so dirty mop water, kitchen grease and bathroom residue can settle into the joints and leave a floor looking uneven. Textured and slip-resistant tiles can also hold soil in tiny recesses that a flat mop does not reach. Professional agitation and recovery can produce a far deeper clean without asking you to spend another weekend scrubbing line by line.
Carpet Tek begins by identifying the surface as accurately as practical and checking its condition. Ceramic, porcelain, natural stone, grout and existing sealers do not all tolerate the same chemistry or pressure. We inspect loose tiles, missing grout, failed silicone, coatings and nearby materials before testing a cleaning approach. Suitable areas are pre-treated, mechanically agitated and rinsed with controlled extraction so released soil is removed rather than spread around the floor.
Optional sealing should only be discussed after the surface type and current sealer are understood. A penetrating grout or stone sealer can provide more time to wipe up spills and make maintenance easier, but it is not waterproofing and it cannot repair cracked joints. We give Mildura customers a clear separation between cleaning, sealing, regrouting and building repairs.
Why professional care matters
We assess whether the area is ceramic, porcelain, stone, textured, polished, coated or previously sealed before selecting treatment.
Porous joints and textured surfaces receive targeted agitation to release the embedded soil that ordinary mopping can leave behind.
Released residue is rinsed and extracted with care around cabinetry, skirting, adjoining floors and moisture-sensitive materials.
Where sealing is suitable and offered, we explain what it can protect against, curing needs and the maintenance it will still require.
What we can help with
Treatment is confirmed after a surface check; stone and specialty finishes may require a different method or specialist service.
Lift accumulated cooking film, food residue and tracked-in soil from suitable tiles and grout lines.
Address soap film, general grime and suitable surface growth while distinguishing failed sealant or waterproofing from a cleaning issue.
Deep clean broad tiled floors and high-traffic grout that has become darker than protected edges and corners.
Use suitable agitation to reach recesses that trap soil, subject to the tile’s finish and condition.
Assess patios, entries and other tiled spaces for weathering, organic residue and a safe cleaning approach.
Evaluate clean, sound cementitious grout for a compatible penetrating sealer where this optional service is appropriate.
Our approach
Testing and controlled recovery help protect the installation while removing as much embedded residue as reasonable.
We check surface type, coating, sealer, grout condition, loose sections and moisture-sensitive cabinetry, timber or skirting nearby.
A small area helps confirm chemical response, achievable improvement and whether an old coating or damage changes the recommended scope.
Cleaning solution is selected for the surface and soil, then allowed appropriate contact time without relying on unnecessarily harsh chemistry.
Tile and grout are worked systematically before the released soil and rinse water are extracted from the cleaned area.
We review remaining stains or damaged joints, discuss optional sealing where relevant and explain drying, cure time and routine maintenance.
Cracked or missing grout, loose tiles, failed silicone, water ingress and failed waterproofing need the appropriate repair trade. Cleaning may reveal permanent staining or colour variation that was hidden by soil. Sealing makes suitable porous material more stain resistant; it does not make a shower waterproof or guarantee mould cannot return.
Questions customers ask
Straight answers help you plan the job properly. We will confirm the method, likely outcome and drying or return-to-use advice after inspection.
Cement grout is porous and can hold fine soil, grease and detergent residue below the surface. Mopping may move dirty water into the joints. Professional pre-treatment, agitation and recovery are designed to release and remove more of that buildup.
Some discolouration and surface growth can improve, but deeply affected grout, failed silicone or moisture behind the installation may need removal and repair. If the underlying dampness or ventilation problem remains, visible growth can return after cleaning.
It depends on the material. Many glazed ceramic and porcelain surfaces do not need the same treatment as porous stone or cement grout. We identify the surface and recommend sealing only where a compatible product can provide a useful benefit.
No. A suitable penetrating sealer reduces absorption and gives you more time to wipe up a spill, but oils, dyes and long contact can still stain. Sealer also wears and needs maintenance according to product, traffic and cleaning routine.
No. Cracks can indicate movement or failure in the installation, and grout is not the waterproofing system. A tiler, builder or waterproofing specialist should assess leaks, loose tiles, damaged joints and failed corner sealant before cosmetic cleaning.
A cleaned floor may dry relatively quickly with airflow, but any newly applied sealer needs its specified cure time. We provide instructions for the actual products and area; using it too soon can compromise the finish or protection.
